Welcome to Fredericktown First Baptist Church!

 PRAISE AND WORSHIP
We try to adapt our worship services to provide "something for everyone." With a mix of contemporary and traditional music, video projection, occasional use of drama, active participation by the congregation, and Biblical preaching, we offer a well-rounded worship experience. There is a dependence on the power of prayer and seeking the presence of the Holy Spirit.

 CHILDREN AND WORSHIP
Children are an important part of our worship at First Baptist. We encourage young folks to sit with their families and participate in all parts of the service.

A Nursery is provided in a room at the back of the sanctuary for children ages 0-3 during the Worship Service.

MUSIC MINISTRY
Handbell Choir (Seasonal) Is also open to anyone Jr. High to adult.

Anyone is welcome to share Special Music during the morning worship hour. Contact the Worship Coordinator for more information.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

"What's the music like at First Baptist?"

We enjoy a lively blend of contemporary praise music and traditional favorite hymns. We also have an added MIDI attachment to our organ, which allows it to synthesize different organ sounds, and are enjoying this addition to our worship. Our hymnal "The Celebration Hymnal" provides us with the best of a wide range of musical styles.

"When do you have the Lord's Supper, and can I participate?"

We celebrate the Lord's Supper, or Communion, on the first Sunday of each month. We practice open communion. If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, you are welcome to share the Lord's Supper with us. You do NOT have to be a member to participate in communion.

"Do I have to get “dressed up” to come to worship?"

"Fancy" clothes are not expected at First Baptist; please feel free to dress comfortably.

"Where do I park for Sunday School and Morning Worship?"

You can park in the municipal lots across the street or behind the town hall, and there is parking along the street. There are specially marked spaces for the handicapped and for visitors directly in front of the church.
