Pastor Mary Day Miller

I'm Mary Miller, and I'm the Pastor at First Baptist Church.   I came to First Baptist in January of 1999 after serving as Pastor of a church in Indianapolis for 10 years.

I am a native of Virginia, where I attended Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.
Sensing God's call to Christian ministry, I entered the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville KY.  I graduated in 1988 with a Master of Divinity degree and was ordained the next year.

I love the pastoral ministry and have served on the national American Baptist Small Church Team.   I am a volunteer chaplain for Hospice of Knox County.    I also lead the ABC of Ohio Conflict Management Network, a group which helps to mediate conflicts in sister congregations.

My husband Tom and I have been married for 25 years.  Tom is an accomplished musician and a teacher, who works as the District Music Instructor for Lucas Schools.  We have two children, Anna (14) and Grace (11).   In my free time (!) I enjoy karate, swimming, photography, eBay, and reading.

I count it a privilege to serve God in this wonderful community of Fredericktown!
